The Narcissist Didn’t Expect You to Show Your Strength
They believed their lies and manipulations would keep you down. But you surprised them by seeing the truth and showing just how strong and capable you really are.
The narcissist didn’t think you’d ever figure them out. They thought you were too weak to escape their control or heal from their abuse. They were arrogant and threw all sorts of abuse at you like verbal, financial, mental, physical, and spiritual.
They saw you as someone who’d always be stuck in their cycle.
While you were with them, you tried to fix the damage they caused. You sensed something was wrong but didn’t fully trust your gut. You might have seen some red flags, but you didn’t really understand what you were up against.
The narcissist had the advantage from the beginning. It wasn’t until you had that moment of clarity, realizing you were in a toxic relationship that you needed to leave, that you started to see the truth. Healing from this kind of relationship isn’t something that happens overnight, it takes time and effort.
